 I know NOTHING about Vampirella. Nothing. Ok, I know the outfit. You caught me. Besides that, nothing. OK! Jeez! I know she's been around since before I started reading comics, which means we're in the 70's at least, which means she has a long and storied history. Fine. So what I do know is that this is a MAJOR push by Dynamite to have a book that is viable for new readers to come in and not feel lost in that long and storied history. It's better written than drawn, but not at all drawn badly. Look for a really sweet splash page while you're flipping through it. Christopher Priest has written a story that will leave you wanting to read the next issue...what else could you ask for in a comic? I'd give this a 7.5 if I could, but you have to round up, right?
