VERY FINE/NEAR MINT Written by David Lapham
Art and cover by Lapham
You may think you know everything there is to know about Danny Noonan. You may think he's just a normal, gun-toting, angst-ridden kid with a hot girlfriend who has a bullet in her brain. Well, you'd be wrong. Before he was all that, Danny Noonan was a normal, angst-ridden kid without all those other things. Then he met Sadie. And something so wonderful happened to him, it could only end in unimaginable horror.
REVIEW by Brian Fisher
I'm in the same boat with David Lapham as I was with Terry Moore. I've always been curious to check out his stuff, I've heard good things about Stray Bullets and one day I may end up reading it. But to this point, Young Liars is the first thing I've read from Lapham, and honestly this make me want to read his other works, as well. Two of my greatest loves in the world, comics and music come together in this book, and it's true what it says on the cover. It really does "read like a great rock song." In this second issue we find out why Danny and Sadie, our main characters ran off together to the big city. And, boy is it a doozy. This could turn out to be the next big thing from Vertigo. The only thing stopping it is the fact that you're not reading it. So read it already!
I give it 9 out of 10 Grahams
