You know that feeling you get when you run into your psycho ex-girlfriend, and she actually seems happy to see you? Prepare yourself for that. Stomach settled yet? Good. The aforementioned scene is worth the cost of the book alone. This is yet another solid Daredevil entry that provides the peanut butter to Shadowland’s jelly. The art is pretty good, save a few panels on which you may do a double take, and the characterizations are accurate. Of particular note in this book is Foggy who deserves a lot more love than he gets. I recommend this book as it just continues to build steam toward its inevitably tragic conclusion. Speaking of endings, I’m pulling for a battle royale between all of Matt’s crazy ex-girlfriends in Shadowland #6. That’s right, Black Widow, Elektra, White Tiger (yes, I know she’s a “work” wife), Typhoid Mary, and Dakota North, etc. Marvel are you listening?
