BONUS REVIEW by PASTOR SAM
After resisiting the urge to write a review for Shadowland #1 second printing, Pastor Sam is here with Shadowland #2 instead. In every way that Shadowland #1 was arguably too focused, #2 is as busy as Times Square during rush hour. For the most part the characterizations seem to be right on in this issue, though I would prefer to see Iron Fist do more talking while at the same time see Luke Cage do much less. Has anyone else noticed that somewhere between the 70's and this issue, that the old Power Man has lost the ability to speak the English language - it's actually jarring in some places in the book. As much negative as I have to say of Luke Cage, I have just as much positive to say of Danny Rand. His dialogue is outstanding in this book. He poses the question that Ive wrestled with and discussed with other employees in the store, why is it ok for every other Marvel character to kill with abandon while Daredevil alone is taken to task for it? All around excellent work on issue #2, reading like The Lord of Rings trilogy when compared with its predecessor.
