Everyone needs a best friend like Foggy Nelson. Watching him traverse a Mordor-esque New York and ascend a Mount Doom like Shadowland has been the high point of the entire series to date. To see him scale the sheer face of the Temple, the thought came to mind, if there were ever going to be another “man without fear” it would be Mr. Nelson. Diggle and De La Torre deliver more solid work making good use of the arguably excessive black spotting in order to establish a mood that is as bleak in its style as it is in its story. One can actually feel the dramatic tension as characters that you’ve cared about for years are seemingly aboard the Titanic heading for the giant iceberg that is Marvel’s creative future use for them. That being said, as with most tragedies I find myself hard pressed to look away in the hopes that there will be survivors.
