BONUS REVIEW by GARY OWENS
Frightening. Creepy. Maddening. This “for mature readers” issue ratchets up the craziness, concluding next issue with Cthulhu attempting to charge into the waking world. The issues thus far have been well paced, as Michael Alan Nelson lets the horror out naturally, not wasting panels on cheap gimmicks (well, maybe a couple cheap gimmicks). The art itself doesn’t dazzle, with uninspired coloring and inking that does its job. But the story itself works because of its low-key approach, just like the Lovecraft tales themselves.
