Things look bad for Peter Parker…
…but GREAT for Spider-Man!
The first arc of the epic new run on ASM comes to a climactic finish! Rated T

BONUS REVIEW by Kevin Healy

"With grate power comes great Parmisean cheese."

Split Pete soup is still on the menu in issue #5 of Nick Spencer's ASM run. Hoping to get Spidey back on track, Peter risks everything w/ literally no skills left (guilt isn't a skill) fails, and dies for his efforts.

OK, that last bit might be a stretch, but he is a broken backed pile of human meat left out for ravenous dogs as it turns out you can't just hope someone will do the right thing when the chance arrives.

Ottley's art looks better for half the issue where he inks himself. If they're pumping out art so quickly that the inker can't keep up, maybe we can all start a petition to have Marvel slow down the pace of publication to improve the quality of publication. Why go after a superstar artist if you're going to leave him winded?

I give it 7 out of 10 Grahams
